Working with the Director to craft purposeful story lead images, whether it’s crisp and modern or nostalgic and filmic. I bring creative imagination to all the shoots I work on, always trying to make it the best version of itself, within the budget.

 

Originally from New Zealand, as a DOP, I’ve worked in the UK, Africa and the UAE, on commercials, including Dove and GMC; corporate promos, including Business Dubai and Hub71; narrative lead documentaries, including BBC – History of the UAE. More recently I’ve been focusing on punchier evocative imagery and narrative projects

 

Previously, I worked in the camera department for blockbusters, such as Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens; UK TV dramas (Mr Selfridge, DCI Banks); music videos (Hey Mama, Nicki Minaj) and documentaries, including BBC – Women of the War of the Roses.

 

I trained as a documentary filmmaker at the Prague Film School, understand the story from reality. I have a unique eye for framing and composition stemming from years of experience with stills photography. I’ve travelled the world always with my Leica M6, from Nepal to Sri Lanka, from Nigeria to Indonesia.

 

I always give 110 percent to shoots while bringing a little humour in the appropriate moments. Dedication, energy, and initiative are key factors in the success of the teams I work with and the projects I work on.
